The greatest and most successful have learned a valuable lesson in their journeys. One of those lessons is that they don’t compete with others, they only compete with themselves. The universe is filled with abundance; there is more than enough to go around for everyone. Most people are locked into the mentality that everyone is in a race and competing to get as much as each can, but that is false. The race is only with yourself, and you can run it at your own pace. You know where you are right now, and after some reflection you should know where you want to be. But don’t play not to lose, you have to play to win. There is a large difference between the two.
Imagine a sport, any sport right now. Have you placed it in your mind? Good. One thing everyone knows is to win at any sport you have to be good not only on offense, but defense as well. Can you recall a game where having only defense won? No you can’t. When you play not to lose that is exactly what you are doing, playing defense. Every champion knows that you have to play aggressive offense and sound defense in order to win the game. You have to do the same to win at life. If you have desires and dreams that you’ve been thinking about, but you haven’t seen any way in which to attain them, it is because you have a defensive mentality. Your thoughts probably sound like this, “I would love to have that, but I don’t want to do that to get it.” Am I right?
The middle-class person loves comfort, they make a life from it. This comfort zone becomes a prison within the confines of your mind. You adapt to it, form habits from it, and soon you are imprisoned within it. If you truly want more out of life, because you feel that you deserve it, and are ready to break free of the self-imposed prison you have created, than that change begins today. The comfort zone is stagnation, and that does not equal any type of growth. True performers have a mentality of learning, growing, and becoming. You are about to become great, and the truth is, it will happen almost effortlessly after you start believing in yourself and set your mind to it. Become determined and relentless, nothing can stand in your way except your own limited thinking. So start thinking BIG!!!
The universe was not designed to create a platform for competition, it was designed to manifest any and all things that we create within our mind. Everything that is in the world as we know it now started with a thought. This thought acted as a source of energy placed into the universe. It soon manifested itself into physical creation to uphold the thought. This is a law of nature. To simplify this concept, YOU had thoughts in the past about things that you have now, if you didn’t, those items would not exist. Maybe you thought about the vehicle you drive now, after that thought you went and purchased it right? Now this is quite simplified in example, but it is exactly how the universe works in accordance to the laws that it has in place. If you can see it in the mind, you can have it physically in this world. All life as you know it is a creation from within.
In conclusion, attaining your dreams is a matter of mind. Create yourself everyday to be better and greater than you were the day prior. All of life’s purpose is growth and expansion, don’t get lost in stagnation. Shoot for the stars, you will at least reach the clouds, that is the champions mentality. The middle-class shoots for the ceiling, and the problem becomes that they reach it and get comfortable. Get comfortable being uncomfortable. A life of passion and purpose is what you desire, you will have everything when you reach your dreams. It is not a destination; it is a creation. You are the author, the painter, the builder of your dreams. No one will every stand in your way, not now, and not ever. The only walls holding you back are self-imposed within yourself. Dare to set your sights higher than you have before. The world is what you make it….
